SHanghai
Located at the mouth of Yangtze river, Shanghai is the second largest city in China, in terms of population. In spite of having a huge population, Shanghai also offers the scope of visiting sites of tranquility and peace like historic sites alongside its newer tourist sites. Termed as the ‘New York’ of China, Shanghai has a number of world-class museums and art galleries, such as the China Art Museum, lovely parks and gardens, luxury boutique shopping centers and the fascinating Jin Mao Tower and Skywalk that compound the exoticity offered by China by being one of the tallest freestanding structures. Guilin
Guilin is one of the most popular tourist destinations in China, it being famous for its natural landscape. Yangshuo is one of the major spots where nature can be enjoyed to the fullest as rocky mountains, clean rivers, and green villages amalgamate to produce a visual treat for the tourists. In order to incorporate the beauty of Guilin, you should plan to devote one entire day as that will enable you to enjoy the Reed Flute Cave and the Elephant Trunk Hill. Bamboo Raft can be taken to sail through the Li River to Yangshuo. Riding bikes in the villages or hiking up to Xianggong Mountain are sure to entertain tourists. Guiling is considered to be a must-visit place now as it has the perfect blend of all the aspects of nature and is sure to give you a pleasant experience in the lap of nature.
CHengdu
The capital of Sichuan Province, Chengdu, has been the economic and cultural centre of China’s most populous province since 400 BC. Termed as the “laid-back” city, Chengdu has a number of ancient temples, parks and cultural relics that make you wish to stay here forever. You can visit the giant pandas, or historic legacies like Jinli Old Streer, Wenhu Temple, Three Kingdoms-era Wuhou Temple, neighbourhoods of the Kuan-Zhai Alley, Dujiangyam Irrigation System and Leshau Buddha.
A point worth mentioning, Chengdu is UNESCO's first ever city of gastronomy- so the possibilities of pleasing the senses and quenching appetite is vast. You can spend an afternoon in the most pleasant way by visiting cute pandas, having local dishes and shopping to your fullest in the streets.
Xi’an
Xi’an, the capital city of Shan’xi is well known because of the rich history it encapsulates within itself. Having served as the capital of 13 dynasties over a period of 3100 years, it has been one of the favorite spots of travelers who have a mind inclined towards history. The well known attractions include the Terra-Cotta Warriors, the Ancient City Wall, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Great Mosque. The Terra-Cotta Army presents thousands of soldiers, some 520 horses and more than 100 chariots built to guard the First Emperor’s tomb. Even though some statues have been damaged, the entire archaeological marvel states the importance bestowed upon the emperor even after his death. For foodies, the Muslim Street presents a sensual delight to please the taste buds as you get to taste some of the dishes where spices do magic!
