Your friendly tour guide will pick you up at your hotel at 7:30 am (or your ideal time). Drive 1 to 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall. It’s about 80 km to the northeast of the downtown Beijing. This beautiful section of the Great Wall is less crowded in the early morning. It has been repaired from No. 1 Tower to No. 20 Tower, which is about 2300 meters long. There are three ways for you to get up to the Wall. Apart from hiking up on foot, the cable car or chairlift is the best option to save your energy. The cable car will take you up to the No. 14 Tower and the chairlift will take you up to the No. 6 Tower. Then you will have around 2 hours to hike on the Wall. Your tour guide will tell you the history of the Great Wall, accompany you to explore the Watch Towers and the Beacon Towers, take memorable photos for you and also give you some free time to enjoy by yourselves. Drop you back to your hotel after the 5 to 6 hours tour.
