Two Days Typical tour
Leave your hotel around 8 am. Go to visit the Tian’anmen Square. Skip-the-line of the security check with your professional licensed English tour guide. Walk through the square to see the Chairman Mao’s Memorial Hall, the National Museum, the Monument of the People’ heroes, the Great Hall of the People and the Tian’anmen Gate. Then go directly to the Forbidden City. Your tour guide will explain the history and the layout of the Forbidden City for you first after entering the Meridian Gate. Visit the Front court with three main government Halls, the Inner Palace with the living quarters and then walk through the beautiful Imperial Garden to get out from the Northern Gate.
Go to visit the Old Beijing Hutongs area at Houhai. Hanging out at the Smoking Pipe street to get the feeling about the traditional commercial street in the old days. Explore the narrow Hutong alley with your tour guide. Have lunch at a decent Peking Duck or Hot Pot restaurant as per your request.
Visit the Temple of Heaven park in the afternoon. Enter from the Eastern gate to enjoy the local people’s exercise spot, playing cards, dominoes, chess along the Long Corridor. Take some nice photos with the Hall of the Prayer for Good Harvest. Enjoy the explaining of the history from your tour guide. Then walk through the Danbi Bridge to visit the famous Echo Wall and the Circular Mound Altar at the South. Get out from the Southern Gate. Drop you back to your hotel around 4:30 pm after the wonderful one day city tour.
Two Days Typical tour
Leave your hotel around 7:30 am. Go to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall first since it’s less crowded in the early morning. Private transportation with an experience driver will make the tour relaxing and comfortable. Drive around 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Your friendly tour guide will tell you the related history of the Great Wall on the way. Spend around 2 hours to enjoy the the Watch Towers, the Beacon Tower, relaxing hiking and the beautiful surrounding scenery. Come down by the cable car or the unique slide way on the toboggan around 11:30 am.
Have a quick lunch at a nice local restaurant, subway or buffet on the way.
Drive around 1 hour to the Summer Palace. Spend 1.5 hours to enjoy the beautiful former imperial Garden with your tour guide. Walk through the Government Buildings, residential area, Garden within the Garden. Relax along the Long Corridor to enjoy the lake and hill. Climb up to the Tower of Buddhist Incense and finally see the famous Marble Boat at the west end. Drop you back to your hotel around 4 to 4:30 pm.
